Thing about America I like: The tendancy to break up crackers into soup. At least on telly. It's a good practice.

Zs instead of Ss too! Organize that!
Biscuits go with chicken and gravy. Cookies are delicious, especially when I make them.
Completely different.
not even close.
Hell, no!
Ginger ale and ginger beer aren't the same either.
Ginger ale - smooth ginger and vanilla drink
Ginger beer - hot ginger drink
Root beer - medicinal tasting loveliness.
Any other soft-drink queries, feel free to ask.
Eggplant!
Zucchini!
I always say, "May I have an order of chips, please?" I get a strange look back. Portion not order. I will never remember this, portion, portion portion.
...is root beer.
Well that's just nonsense - of COURSE you're going to get a "portion" - not like they're going to give you every fried potato in Ireland.
I love root beer and sasperilla so! Ice-cream is good with it too.
i hear ya, i'm on your side.I would say an order of fries in the states...
Actually most of those differences come from English Professors of English changing the spelling of words so that they sound more Latin, without any particular regard to whether the word actually comes from the Latin equivalent or not.
I don't know much about it, Terry Dolan's always roaring about it.
what actually are biscuits that you would eat with meat and stuff??in my head thats like covering chocolate hob nobs with gravy![]()
Oh!!!
What is first base? Second Base? Third base? etc?
I'm always watching these teen comedys and it's all like "yo I totally got to first base" and I'm just left wondering "is that good?, is this important to the plot? why don't I understand?"
why are they ALL such fat warmongering idiots?
that's AMAZING.
Biscuits and gravy is a great American innovation.
