why do Americans call milk 'cream'?

how come they have massive gaps in the doors of jacks cubicles so everyone can see in when you're doing your private business in there?

how come, on internal flights over there, they always bring these massive suitcases on wheels on and then struggle like hell to get them into the overhead bin, until the air hostess comes to their rescue?



Repeat, not an American or Bush bashing thread. More to do with the little differences between us and our neighbours.
 
Why are they always drinking ice tea instead of normal hot tea with milk in it?

why do they think that Chardonnay is the only white wine in the world?
 
Because cream is not milk. Cream is half & half, which is half milk and half cream. I miss it so. You can ask for milk, if you just want milk. 'Cream' is much richer.

Apple juice is not cider.

Hot tea with milk is gross. Sun tea is tasty.
