You have to pick up Seamonsters. It's pretty dark, and it may take a while for the songs to get under your skin but it's easily their best album. You get a few bonus tracks aswell (Dan Dare, Crawl, Niagara are all essential too). You can often get it for a tenner or so.

Watusi is also an excellent album (but can be hard to track down as it's deleted)

Really, you won't go wrong with any of them - you could try getting your hands on the Registry box set if you wanted to pick up 4 albums pretty cheap.

Quite like some of their stuff but don't have any albums. Which albums would be worth checking out first?
start with Ukrainski Vistupi V Johna Peela*

*maybe not

nah, go for Bizarro first
then Seamonsters
[make sure you get the remasters of these two]

then see how they started - George Best

follow up with The Hit Parade compilation

Watusi [deleted so second hand only - or wait, maybe it's available in Japan:rolleyes:   ]

Mini and Saturnalia then

you should be hooked at that stage, so it's just a matter of picking up the following compilations
Tommy, Peel Sessions 1986 - 1990, Peel Sessions 1992 - 1995, Evening Sessions 1986 - 1994
plus that Ukrainian Peel Sessions album

totally do - it .|..| .|..| .|..| .|..| .|..|

but eh - yeah - bizarro was recently (as in, within the last few years) remastered/rereleased (by dave gedge himself apparently) with a bunch of extra tracks (including 'it's not unusual') - this (and others) were available in tower records a while back.
as for watusi - you could always try ebay or amazon...
