I say that EVERYONE has to down a pint and a chaser whenever a band makes a mistake.

We'll get the ball rolling by arsing up something or other - we always do - and then after that Richie Egan will fuck up because he'll be tipsy. Then NPB will fuck up more because they'll be doubly tipsy. And so on, with fuck ups and resultant downing of gargle increasing exponentially. By the end of the night we'll all be a drunken mess, which is the object of all events such as these, after all.
