The Glastonbury Thread (2025) (2 Viewers)

Well said from an unapologetically proud Zionist lady who just wanted to enjoy some music at Glasto.

It reminds me.of the virulent vaccine haters we have now still spreading their dangerous conspiracy theories about Jews wanting to take over the world using 5G & vaccines .

RFK jnr with his hateful bile saying that the mRNA vaccines had no adverse effects on the Ashenazi Jewish population.

No difference with all the Jew hate from kneecap and Bib Zylan or whatever the fuck his name is.

That's why I always loved Thumped because it stood up aggressively against dangerous vaccine mis information. Please keep your integrity and standard high and see the other side of this conflict.Never forget Octtiber 7th . Remember that was a music festival . Peace out.

I’m trying to decide if this is satire or not.

It is absurd that people who won't even acknowledge the findings of Israeli genocide by the UN, Amnesty and Human Rights Watch are making an issue of this.

Seeing Bob Vylan on BBC's coverage of Glastonbury three years ago was my introduction to them. Bobby is an extremely astute commentator on race, privilege, immigration and importantly, class politics. The punk elements - especially Bobbie (drummer) hugely appeals to old farts like me. Delighted to see a band like Bob Vylan having a mass audience.

I don't think it is.
I wish it was though.

Fuck Zionism, it's a form of fascism.
Fuck off with your zionist empathy.
Fuck off equating anti-Zionism with hating Jews.
In fact, maybe Just fuck off entirely

A music festival literally within ear shot of a horrifically oppressed minority.

Very kind behaviour from your beloved Zionists.

Except no. There's way more innovation than just rap! Beaks latest album for instance
Is this Beaks?? This would be a big improvement if more popular pop was like this. The instrumental part from 1:50 is clever. It's a good tune and production. I hear music similar to this regularly but this is well done. Also heard another song from 2023 that was less memorable.
Having said this it isn't something I'd listen to repeatedly.

@Splunk that border that was breached was so high tech that essentially if a mouse walked over it would be vaporised within seconds. Source: i live with someone who has been there.
For hamas to cross it on oct 7th and spend more than a few seconds alive inside the iron dome, the IDF a: had to know about it, B: let it happen and most importantly c: instigated it with decades of violence and Colonial aggression. They wanted their own people to die to initiate a genocide comparable to the work of the Germans in World war 2. To this day they continue to shoot starving innocents, don't throw around the antisemitism talk in this instance, it betrays the victims of Hitler to do so.

Don't know I can't play that right now I'm in the pub. I'm talking about BEAK from Bristol ... guitar player from massive attack.

Beak has the drummer from Portishead

Yeah that's it...I just remembered that a second ago. I knew it was Bristol.
Best band to ever come out of Portishead!
I'm lost listening to that latest album now here..it's awesome.
I love all the modulating effects pedals on everything. I never heard anyone really lean into that bendy sound so successfully before.

It's magic..for tired old ears.. super novel

They're class!

I’m watching Olivia Rodrigo with my daughter. She’s class.

Really enjoyed Chic and Rod Stewart earlier too.

Neil Young and Charli Xcx didn’t do a huge pile for me last night
I think youd need to be there for Neil ..it would be all about the loud guitar
