Almost unfathomable how much goodness this band put into the world
People love the Beatles like they love no other act.
I might be overstating, but they tap into a special place in so many people.
If it is this way for you and your favourite band, good for you also.

The near universality of Beatles love is something special. they are part of us.
Their fanbase is the general public.

There was a lot of words written yesterday, but this sentence stuck out for me because I believe it and I feel it.

The world and our experience in it is actually better because of the Beatles. They are like the last vestige of 60s optimism.

If you hate them or feel nothing, that's fine too. Not everything is for everyone.
I'm just very happy to be bought in on them.

The Beatles are even English!

The Beatles are even English!

Haha
I do make a distinction between the English writ large (aka Englishness) and individual English people making art.
Even that said, the Beatles are in a category all their own, in almost every sense.

In the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make

But good job sticking up for England. They've had a tough go lately.
Between Brexit and interest rates and me being mean to them on the internet.
and them funding/supporting genocide in the middle-east

Fuck, I had no idea!
Only really listened to their albums!

Wait. No, I see.
Yes. Causing, funding, supporting etc. Not a great bunch of lads. Unliek teh four loveable mop tops from Liverpool!

(I really don't want to bring my not-a-tan-fan issues into every thread. No one cares for it.)

The English Beatles are better than the English Crickets.

Just listened to the song.
The whole thing especially the video struck me as very strange. These guys have been fairly precious and sensible about how they handled their back catalog and legacy but this strikes me as very out of character.
it was a really bad idea - a bland song, the video was very poorly done if not creepy and the tech used will give foolish people notions.
Really surprised they did this. What did Yoko and Olivia Harrison think about this?

dude needs to look at the lens and not at himself on the screen. All people need to do this.

The song sounds out of place as a Beatles song. Sounds more like a solo tune.
There's something about it that sounds more modern than what you're used to hearing as the Beatles.
Has that extra song on the reissue that gets listened to once then forgotten feel about it.
