Finished the Doc last night.
This brought back memories of this, which I've tried hard to suppress. I was going to mention the contrasting styles of Mark Knopfler's subtle melodic solo and Gary Moore's manic "what the fuck was that" contribution, but got mesmerised by the 80s-ness of the whole thing. Lots of "also rans" in among the bona fide popstars and then at the end a smorgasbord of "famous in the 80s" people; Su Pollard, Linda Lusardi, that young guy that was in a Madonna video and had a brief career as a TV host...

I was talking about Felix Howard and it seems he has done OK for himself.

His songwriting credits include working alongside Amy Winehouse, Sia, The Sugababes among many others. In 2007, he joined EMI Publishing as an A&R manager where he signed Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, MNEK, James Vincent McMorrow, Tinchy Stryder, Sam Sparro, Hurts, Beverley Knight, Tom Jones, and many others.[4][5]
In 2008, Felix Howard was made VP, A&R at EMI and in 2009 he was made head of A&R EMI UK and Europe Creative.[6][7]
