In April 2005 ‘the Beat Poets’ were formed. Recording has just been completed on two white label promo singles due for release later this month: ‘Staring Stars Down’ and ‘Bloodline’. Samples of these tracks can now be heard at www.myspace.com/beatpoets
All comments appreciated.

Also next month the www.thebeatpoets.com will be launched and contain full details of the bands up and coming gig schedule, pics, and news.

Gigs confirmed so far include:

May 13th – Soundhouse – Naas
May 21st – The High Stool – Limerick
May 24th – Whistle Blinkies – Edinburgh
May 26th – Barfly – Glasgow
June 2nd – The Cavern Club – Liverpool
June 25th – The Stables – Mullingar
July 2nd – Slaterys – Dublin
July 28th – Half Moon Club – London
July TBC – Brixton Windmill - London
August 6th – Slatery’s – Dublin
September 3rd – Millienium Forum - Derry

We will go easy on heavy vegetable, they have some good songs but in saying that it is quite an odd name but i've heard much worse:

"Barbecue Bob", a Blues artist fom the 20's

You are probably right....I need to get out more, although this is what bank holidays are for: relaxing!! :)

When was the last time ye re-confirmed/rechecked yer gig dates with the venues?????????
The High Stool, Limerick closed down 3 weeks ago.Nice haircuts!

It was booked at the start of April and we have been seriously busy, at the time they did let me know that there was going to be a few changes at the venue. Will double check this and let post the result....oh and hairgrowth rather than cuts!
