The band you were obsessed about when you were young (1 Viewer)

I have had a (un)healthy obsession with Prince since I saw the video for Little Red Corvette on M.T.U.S.A. with Vincent Hanley... Just before Purple Rain was released, it was unbelievable. The obsession manifested itself in me having his symbol tattoo'd onto my wrist last year.
The biggest regret of my life, that I will take to my grave was in about 93 or 94 I sold the majority of my Prince collection cos I was on the dole and broke.

When I was a wee fella I loved The Bay City Rollers and Thin Lizzy.

Blur
Manics
Clash

Breeders
Elastica

loads of second rate melody maker bands circa 1998

Limp Bizkit, Korn and all that shite, nu-metal stuff that was knocking around in my times. Truth be told, I was only into these bands cos my friends were. Change came when I bought AFI's Art of Drowning solely cos I liked the cover-art. The important point here wasn't so much that the music was different but that none of my friends had heard of em. After that I just bought what I liked. Next up was Weezer's The Blue Album and the rest is history.

The Fat Lady Sings
Susanne Vega
Lisa Germano - can't believe she's playing Douglas Hyde soon
Pixies - they still rock. As does
Nirvana
Red House Painters - nearly drove old flat mate insane listening to RHP all the time
Buffalo Tom - particularly Let me come over

megadeth
nine inch nails
sugar

my little sister went though a period of being SERIOUSLY into the manic street preachers. manics fans are crazy. especially as the manic have only one good album.

I was obsessed with them for about three years I still like them alot

I got pretty obsessed with The Doors when I was 13. Even liked An American Prayer! :-0 Pretty embarrassing considering the pretentious shite Morrison dribbled out. Still like a few of the tunes mind.
