Pete, I keep getting asked to sign back in. Usually thumped would remember that I am signed in, but everytime I land on the site now I'm asked to log in. We used to be mates, but now Thumped treats me like a stranger. (aplolgies if this has been dealt with al length elsewhere.)

it's most likely a problem with the login integration between vbulletin & the joomla CMS....

For the record, this happens to me too. When I try to re-login I get this 'you have used up your 5 login attempts and must wait 15 minutes' guff. Then I restart the browser and just login anyway. Some of the details might be iffy but that's the general gist of it.
