Suggest me a web-based email service that isn't Gmail.... (1 Viewer)

I've been using Yahoo mail since I started using the internet. Recently it's gone to absolute shite, to the point of actually gobbling up mails without saving a draft when you click the send button. Mail just gone!

So time for a new email service. I use Gmail a lot, but would rather not use it for my own personal mail. I hate the interface, lack of search functionality etc. I've also used hotmail in the past: Yuck.

Any suggestions, you sexy thumpeds?

i've had no trouble with yahoo, apart from them redesigning it every two weeks

In the last few days I've randomly lost several emails on clicking the send button, heralded with a generic "there was a problem sending your mail" - no draft saved, and no hints at a resolution. Since this new non html version arrived I've had several of these kinds of problems.

Genuinely surprised at this. Gmail has the best interface & search functionality of any webmail service I've used.

yahoos search is a lot better. all sorts of filter down options once you do a keyword search - by sender, by attachment type etc. I never fail to find what i'm looking for.

Ah I see. Yeah, Gmail doesn't do drill down filtering on searches, I can see the handiness of it.
