Had a chat with ICUH8N about this the other day. Its raw ground steak mixed with herbs and topped with a raw egg yolk.

Sounds like something i'd only eat if held at gunpoint.

Anyway I have tried a small portion of somebody else's steak tartare when in France a long number of years ago.
Wasn't that bad.

Never had steak tartare but I ate raw beef in Crete a few years ago. Tasted pretty much the same as cooked beef, just the texture was different
