Musicbest Records: SONI Music Compilation: Release + Launch Shows: Press Release
Belfast label Musicbest Records step up a gear in their campaign to promote and nurture emerging music in N.I with the launch of a new series of compilations – SONI Music (Sounds of Northern Ireland). The first in the series – volume 1 – will be launched with a run of 3 shows in Belfast’s hugely popular Duke of York venue, in the city’s Cathedral Quarter between Thursday 10th November and Saturday 12th November 2005. The 20 track compilation CD features an eclectic mix of artists – from fields as diverse as rock, indie and pop to metal and singer-songwriter. The only criteria, apart form the artists being from N.I, is the most important one – Great Songs. Showcasing the depth and variety of talent in the province, the compilation is a quality record in it’s own right – a must for anyone who cares about Northern Irish music. It will be available first at the launch shows, and then at select local record stores and through the Musicbest website:

Doors open on all nights at 8pm, and admission to the shows is £4 on the Thursday and Friday – with all paying punters receiving a free copy of the CD! Admission on Saturday is £2, with the CD costing only a further £2.
