Deeply, deeply saddened by this news. Growing up Dio, Rainbow and Sabbath's music meant the world.

The man was there through the formative years of rock n' roll right from the start, instrumental in the development of heavy metal with Elf and Rainbow and then Sabbath of course. Even last year with "Bible Black" he sounded as good as ever. No one can ever come close to what he achieved again. His voice was truly amazing warm and deep with an great range and full of character, an excellent frontman and imaginative and thoughtful lyricist too. He always came across as a gent and a thoroughly decent human being from what I could tell.

RIP to a a true legend and a titan of heavy metal.

All bands who will be performing will be playing at least 1 song from Ronnie's back catalogue, if not 2.

This will be the second night of 2, one of which will be held in Belfast. News from James to follow \m/

All proceeds will go towards the Irish Cancer Society.

This will be a great way for everybody to celebrate the life of DIO and support a great cause that dearly needs our help. As i'm sure there are a lot of people on here who have suffered the loss of family, friends and anyone that would have been close to you.

So lets make this a day to remember. This is not to be missed.
