i have some beef with most mid-sized venues in dublin, not a good position to be in for a promoter. as a result, i'm looking for an some alternatives. what do people know about the following (as much info as possible would be appriciated):
4 dame lane
focus theatre
st. andrews theatre/church
new theatre
the shelter (they have clubs on saturdays, what do they do the rest of the week)?

also whats the deal with the tivoli these days?

and i'm still looking for pubs with "function" rooms in the city centre that dont mind a bit of noise, if anyone knows of any.

any help is much appriciated.

i tried to put a gig on in the tivoli last year. its run now by some dance outfit thingy, but they took over a month to get back to me with a price, when i said that it was too late they got on to me that day and quoted me €2000. i emailed them back and told them to go fuck themselves.
