here's the stagetime for tomorrow night:

9:30 - 10:30 Safety Boy

10:30 - 12:00 Plastician

12:00 - 1:30 Skream

tickets available at the door for a reasonable €20

enter via Hatch Entrance to Iveagh Gardens

Cheers!! I wonder will the "Introduction to Dubstep" title put people off going to this?? Kaboogie and others have been doing dubstep gigs for two years ar least

has to be one of the stupidest names for a gig alright. skream is boring anyway. i'll be skipping this.

I'd have to strongly disagree with you their dude! I've seen him a few times and he's always been good. Most of his releases have been deadly as well. There's a new dubplate of his called "Fick" floating around thats probably his best tune so far.

i've seen him a few times too, he just doesn't float my boat djing.

i do like his stuff though.

It's part of the fringe innit, so i guess they're hoping to attract a bit of a theatre luvvie crowd, hence the naff title.

That gig Skream did in Crawdaddy was pretty good - but the question is how many rewinds will he do on Midnight Request Line?

This was a complete pile of shite. Skream was absolutely pissed, rewinding some tunes three or four times, fucking up Plastician's mixing and stopping the music to talk drunken drivel. The atmosphere was good at the start but Skream was totally taking the piss and a lot of people started booing. I left with about an hour to go. And i wasn't the only one either, not by a long shot.....

agreed.

That said I did enjoy shouting 'just play the fucking song!' at him. There was a good atmosphere, have to say the Iveagh gardens is a waaay better place for the spiegeltent than the IFSC, so overall I had a good laugh at it. Still left early though.

was at this, really enjoyed it but did get pissed off with skream stoppin the tunes every couple of minutes.

are those dubstep nights still on in traffic, i figure they might actually be better

There hasnt been one in a while but traffic is closed at the moment, soon to be called the 'twisted pepper' and run by the bodytonic people - as far as I know wobble will be going on still.

the !kaboogie lads are also starting a new club night downstairs in Thomas REid this thursday 'the !k club', which is free in and starts at 9 (i think) goes on til close

guess he was enjoying himself. highlight of the night had to be playing the remix of dave gehan's saw something, just wished the whole crowd sang it alongside. but yeah, got sick of rewinds at the same time and the whole jazz with turning down the already crappy sound system was a joke.

You see, this I might of been able to forgive,
but there was NO bass, nothing!

complete and utter waste of time. It was pathetic.
I too was one of the many who left early.

Roll on !kaboogie and Worries Outernational soundsystem.

sound, i'll probably check out that club in thomas reads.
