The amplifier has a single album pre-installed, no other inputs allowed. It’s Songs of Innocence by U2 and it’s encoded as a 96kb mp3.

they kinda look open backed?

I'll make all kinds of arguments for speakers/formats being well beyond the audlible range but 8hz has a 4M+ wavelength which i dont really feel is going to develop to well between a headphone and the ear.

yeah, I got the cheaper (?) HD555, and holy shit... I mean, they're good.
I don't have the ears or vocabulary other than: holy shit. They were much much better than anything I'd ever heard before.
