60,000?! For headphones?
You don’t have a set? Do you even have a Carrara marble amplifier?

"With an audio range from 8 Hz to more than 100 kHz, and the lowest distortion ever measured in a sound reproduction system: 0.01% at 1 kHz, 100 dB SPL."

that's useful, they have an audio range beyond human hearing; and managed to get the lowest distortion ever recorded, in a system based on valves?

you'd think they'd throw in a cd player for that price.

they kinda look open backed?

I'll make all kinds of arguments for speakers/formats being well beyond the audlible range but 8hz has a 4M+ wavelength which i dont really feel is going to develop to well between a headphone and the ear.

I like to imagine that it's totally one persons job to make these and they just make two sets a year and that covers wages and overheads.

as mentioned in a separate thread, one benefit from buying a good pair like that, is that 24 or 25 years later, some spare parts are still available.
