Fred Frith & Chris Cutler - live cd which led to me listening to all sorts of improv and noisey stuff as well as henry cow, art bears etc. thats ages ago now, i cant think of anything that has sent me off in new directions since

sonic youth too i suppose led me try out some jazz and other stuff.

the earliest music i remember loving was before i learned how (and was allowed) to operate the record player by myself when i was about 4 - i used to pester my siblings to play Honey by Bobby Goldsboro, My Perfect Cousin by The Undertones and Enola Gay by OMD. i used also go to the neighbours house and get them to play whatever singles they had. the first single i went shopping for myself was Kyrie by Mr Mister and the first proper full album i got was an eddy grant best of tape for my 8th birthday

Fucking brilliant, brilliant album. I really went off Microphones/Mount Eerie for a while. I don't know why, I was listening to them recently - they are fucking brilliant. Do you know the song Great Ghosts? One of his best.

Cool. I have every Mojo for about five years. Possibly something to do with me liking pretty much all the same music as you (judging by your bumcast/blog).
