me arse... she is perfect in that film

except that May was supposed to be blonde and Ellen brunette.
stuff like that bugs me, specially when he took such care over pretty much everything else.

King o Comedy's my fave, if nothing else for the scene where Sandra does her big theatrical kiss. Love the weird jerky cinematography (God I sound so pretentious) at the end of Taxi Driver. After Hours is a treasure too. Goodfellas is perfectly constructed I think, the work of a master, but a bit *too* crisp (if you know what I mean*). Seen Mean Streets ages ago, but can't really remember it to be honest. Kundun was v good too, although I think you've to have at least some sympathy for Buddhism

*I don't mean "if you know what I mean" in an innuendo sense

Not just talking about her looks, Wil... the acting was spot on

Looks wise her best role is reality bites... huminahuminahumina

Just saw New York, New York there, and its a much underestimated movie, with a fine De Niro performance. You need to have a tolerance for golden age musicals and Liza Minelli though, which narrows the target audience somewhat.
