AGITATED RADIO PILOT YOUR TURN TO GO IT ALONE
agitated radio pilot is based around the artist david colohan, this is deeply rooted in traditional old style british folk music with plenty of avant garde and acid folk moments, take some traditional seventies folk sounds and basically strip it right back to its bare essentials of acoustic sounds and simple untreated vocals, there are lots of avant garde droning keys and wind instruments slowly merging into the mix, really beautiful stuff, double 3 inch cd which comes in a handmade card gatefold sleeve
LONER DELUXE THE PLINTH TAPES
a collaboration between dorset based avant folk outfit plinth and irish based electronic artist loner deluxe, the source material was provided by plinth who then sent the tapes to loner deluxe and allowed them to work their magic on it, this eight track album is released on the new irish based micro label rusted rail, the original music has all been made using live recordings with vintage musical equipment and samples of old victorian parlour music, when this is all put together the sounds are like a blend of godspeed, four tet, glitchy little electronic sound effects, haunting fairground music, boards of canada and a kinda strange psyche folk version of my bloody valentine, very very limited 3 inch cd which comes in a lovely card handmade sleeve

mirakil whip are an irish based electronic indie outfit featuring aaron coyne and anne marie deacy, lo fi electronic beats and synth sounds meets fuzzy distorted guitars with vocals straight out of the pavement or sebadoh school, try to imagine the electronic beats and sounds of the postal service or schneider tm blended with the slacker rock sounds of pavement, really really high quality stuff, very very limited 3 inch cd in a superb handmade card sleeve from the irish based rusted rail label
PLINTH VICTORIAN MACHINE MUSIC
plinth are a drone folk based duo from dorset in england, all the music is sourced from either vintage archival recordings or using victorian parlour music machines, these sounds are then digitally processed to make one of the strangest releases of the year so far, organ led fairground sounds are blended with glitchy sound effects, subtle chiming sounds and delicate wind instruments, the overall effect is something that is both strange and very very beautiful at the same time, 3 inch cd in a lovely hand made card sleeve on the rusted rail label

this nine track ep is released on the new irish label rusted rail, features a selection of lo fi home recordings sounding a bit like the bedroom style little brothers of sebadoh blended with the strange lo fi folk sounds of the likes of future pilot aka and the weird outsider sounds of daniel johnston, the album was recorded in south korea and county galway, a mix of mellow psychedelic folk sounds and stop start indie rock, very very limited 3 inch cd which comes in a lovely hand made card sleeve

united bible studies is a loose collective of like minded irish musicians based in acid psyche folk sounds, drone and taking in plenty of avant garde improv along the way too, this six track release on the new rusted rail label comes on a 3 inch cd in handmade card sleeve, this release sees the band take in a bit of traditional english folk with a nod to the early folk sounds of fairport convention on the odd track.
