Ah man,my Da turned me on to him when I was a nipnip.
Was anyone at the show he did in College Green?I was.

I think was at a gig he did when I was too young to know who he was. Might have been at a Scout jamboree or something like that.

As did my aul fella! Would of been way too young though when he was still gigging.

I remember once my Da bringing me to see B.B. King when I was mad young...got real bored real quick and left with my Mam...about three years later I had to slap myself in the face!

I don't know why but I was expecting a new feature on him- I'd seen both those films before

oh well- nice to see them again anyway

man, the Irish in the 70s- quite the stylish race we were

yep. who else played at that?
saw him a bunch of times in the Olympia as well - always amazing, played two and half hour sets

god, 15 years ago,

always remember waking up real early that morn due to the heat and going out to our side gate where the milk and papers had been delivered. Opened up the front page of the Examiner and there before me was the horrific news of rory's passing.

I was totally stunned, he was a big hero of us cork rock kids when we wuz nippers. We knew he was ill but never once did it even cross my mind that he might not make it

There will be a full length DVD with extended footage and interviews in September- the RTE doc was edited to just an hour

Unfortunately this will probably mean more Geldof
