It's shit that the curated day is in between the normal festival.

I prefer it that way, I found the Saturday with all the Neurot style bands a bit of an anti climax after the more psych and riff bands of the previous two days.

The Sunday of last year was woeful though. Aethenor & Skitliv?

That was the David Tibet curated side though. The Roadburn side had Graveyard and Orange Sunshine which were two of my highlights of the festival.

I predict 1349 and assorted other arse Norwegian Black Metal bands will play.

I don't think it will be quite as one dimensional as that. The guys that run Roadburn have confirmed that they had a long discussion with TGW about who he'd like to get to play and they are happy it will be a very eclectic bill. As one of them put it, Warrior would never have made the album's he did if he only listened to metal.

Candlemass' first 25th Anniversary show at Roadburn 2010; performing Epicus Doomicus Metallicus in its entirety for the very first time.

Roadburn is very pleased to report that Swedish doom metal legends
Candlemass have been confirmed for Roadburn 2010. Celebrating their
25th Anniversary, Candlemass will play a very special, 2 hrs set on
Saturday, April 17th. Opening at 16.00hrs, Candlemass will perform their classic
album, “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” in its entirety with Johan Längquist
on vocals. There will be a special part of the set that incorporates new
singer Robert Lowe as well.

Leif Edling comments: "I'm looking forward to do our first 25th anniversary
show at Roadburn in Holland. It's a cool festival that handpicks great
bands every year! Doom / underground / metal / classic... I think Candlemass
will fit right in!! We will play a very special set, "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" in its
entirety for the very first time, featuring Johan Längquist on vocals!!
There will also be a Robert Lowe part of the show, where we do some
classics as well as new stuff of course. I think there will be some special
surprises there too!! I must say I love the early show time on the saturday.
Then there's plenty of time to watch the other bands later!! Stay Heavy."

Roadburn considers Candlemass one of the most important doom bands
ever. They are on a very short list of doom greatness that includes Black
Sabbath, Saint Vitus and perhaps no one else. Their influence can be heard and
felt throughout the current stoner and doom scene. It is a huge understatement to say
that we're looking forward to this special set with both Robert Lowe and Johan Längquist.

Roadburn 2010, including Tom Gabriel Warrior's special event entitled
Only Death Is Real, will run for three days from Thursday, April 15 to
Saturday, April 17 at the 013 venue and Midi Theatre in Tilburg, Holland. There
will be an additional afterburner event on Sunday, April 18, 2010.
