Any fans of this director here?

Haven't seen any of his films in years but I noticed Dust Devil has just got a limited dvd release with Director's Cut. As I recall Stanley was well upset with the studio release of this film and practically gave up making movies as a result.
Anyhoo it's going for a snip on Amazon but it's strictly limited to 10,000 copies.

Hardware was a f/cking mess too.

I kinda liked Hardware - dustdevil was ok. Some good atmosphere and great soundtrack..

Yeah that new DVD release is amazing (if it;s the one my mate got) - it's got a few versions of the film and some shorts/documenties he made.

hardware was pretty good from what i remember.

Yeah the FON singer was in Hrdware too..
The Secret Glory is on the DVD and looks good - it's a documentry about the SS search for the Holy grail.

Stanley's in a world of his own. He kept a production diary of DD and it dwarfs even Apocalypse Now in terms of sheer disaster. Dust storms, people dying, rumours of curses. The word clusterfuck comes to mind. Think it appeared in Projections 7.
