Do any of you guys know of any websites covering the 'business' side of the music industry? Things like copyright, publishing etc.

I have been doing a bit of a search and cant find anything too comprehensive.

There's a book called 'All you need to know about the music industry' by Donald Passman that covers a lot of that stuff pretty well (or at least I think so - I've never had a chance to apply any of the knowledge) - it was published a good while ago so might be slightly out of date, but I'd imagine the fundamentals haven't changed very much

I don't know about websites but there's a book called The Musicians Bible that covers all that stuff quite well.

The imro (www.imro.ie) has some useful stuff if you can get your head around it.

Also there're some useful general articles at www.getsigned.com...

Oh and www.fmc-ireland.com - the irish federation of music collectives has some good stuff if you search the site.
