i'm pretty sure its a camera, but only read as far as the part that said it cost 55,000$ for a brain. i'm convinced i could get a second hand vhs camera and a human brain for such money.

Take any movie shot on film. The cameras are rented. Nobody owns say a panavision camera except panavision.

I don't want to nit-pick, but nobody owns a panavision camera, or any panavision kit, outside panavision, because they won't sell them to anyone. Though you're right about mostly renting.
