Black Spot in Limerick (if it's still open) has the occasional gem.

When me da was young the only record shop to speak of in Limerick was Savins, and they wouldn't keep the Rolling Stones in stock. You had to order it special, and they kept it under the counter.

In Cork, go to Plug'd Records on Washington St. It's near the Capitol Cineplex.
Virgin has a deadly metal section too...

Blackspot is closed - they`re last day was last saturday.
Now all there is would be HMV and Empire music....

Plug`d in cork is probably the best down this side of the country - Mulligans in Galway is pretty dead on too - after that......its all !bog
