Really the only surprising thing is that I din't have them all.

just finishing my first spin of the new Valet album, Nature. so so good. Last album I had by this lady (Honey Owens, formerly of Jackie-o-motherfucker) was released around 07. (last album I know of anyway). that was a really interesting listen. quite abrasive psychish vocals and guitars. enjoyable, engrossing listen. a littlw heavy going. not over the top though. While listening to the new one I read a couple of reviews. turns out she had her first kid in 2013 which definitely has had an effect on her tunes it seems. Album is made up of 7 or 8 songs that stripped back could be lullabies. but, they're drenched in lovely reverb and meander along for 6 or 7 minutes. nothing ground breaking on display here but with so many so called 'ethereal' (a word that always grabs my attention but also I have grown to despise as it has lead me up false paths too many times at this stage) bands or albums knocking around, this one seems to cut close enough to the bone in that regard. worth a listen. ...and whatdya know. the whole thing is up on youtube

Cool I was listening to this album a lot recently. That Lion song is great. The album before that (Naked Acid) is way better in my opinion.

haven't listened to Naked Acid in full in years. must stick it on during the week again. Two very different albums. hopefully she doesn't wait 7 or 8 years for the follow up

Just coming to the end of it now and yeah, it's pretty good. It's a mix of the song writing from the last two with the drums and guns electronics and a fair whack of melancholy Flaming Lips circa Soft Bulletin. I'd recommend it to a friend.
