I only got it as it was in a bulk deal that worked out cheaper. I don't mind Ted Leo and the song he does is pretty good. That Zach Galifianakis song is terrible. I'll never listen to it again. I'd never heard of him before or anywhere else other than Chunklet.

Zach Galifianakis song

Oh god. His songs are intentionally awful though. He's actually a stand up comedian and his "songs" are usually done as characters that can't perform but that may just be a cover. Great stand up comedian, ropey musician.

I bought 4 by Dungen, Fear by John Cale and Everything All The Time by Band of Horses all on vinyl in woad. The John Cale album has two 'bonus' tracks which might or might not be a good thing (haven't had a chance to put it on yet). Hope it doesn't take away from the album. They're at the end of either side so there's no escaping them. Richard Thompson is on one of the songs, so at least that's a good sign.

I'm not a fan of intentionally bad comedy music. Maybe that's why I don't get it.

I don't know. I just think they're trying too hard with supermilk. It goes over my head anyway. The 4 toilet rolls is absolutely essential stuff though.

they're all bardo pond related and all released on the same label (http://www.importantrecords.com). i like the alumbrados one a lot - meditative drones played with acoustic instrumentation (including eastern/indian instruments). the others are pretty much in line with what you'd expect from bardo pond - heavy, noisy drones.

also picked up the new tortoise album which i like and the sleepy sun album which i wouldn't really recommend (sounds too generic)
