dunno if this has been mentioned here somewhere at some stage. was having a gander at the amoeba records site earlier. they have a link on there called 'whats in my bag'. basically the shop get musicians passing through the store to show what music they've bought. might be of interest to some people here. one of the more obscure purchases i've seen so far has got to be one of the lads from acid mothers temple buying some celtic music cassettes...feckin hippies.

Targets have a great rep with the guys on the Steve Hoffman music forums.

Those early Japans are good - were they expensive?

20c cassettes

The Undertones-sin of pride
The Undertones-the undertones
Fleetwood Mac-man of the world
The Cure-boys don't cry
The Cult-camden palace 18.9.84

It's a bit louder than the original alright. The vocals were vari speeded for added shrillness ("bert" says he regrets doing that), great album all the same.

Tragedy-darker days ahead lp
Drainland/Cellgraft 7"
Neveskade/Perdition-split 7"
Contort-an island of noise in an island of silence demo tape

Yeah, the first one. I think it's great, along with that first bunch of singles. Didn't like anything they did after.

I already have the lp,but I always pickup cd's for the car when they are cheap.

I'm going through a bit of Thrash revival. Its all old stuff though. My interest in metal ended in the early 90's. I must start investigating some newer bands.

Pantera - Original album series
5CD set. Collects five of their original albums, in card LP replica sleeves!
Cowboys From Hell (1990)
Vulgar Display Of Power (1992)
Far Beyond Driven (1994)
Great Southern Trendkill (1996)
Reinventing The Steel" (2000).

Megadeth - Peace sells....but who's buying (180g vinyl)

Metallica - Master of Puppets Double vinyl 45rpm series. Hard to beat this one. I got it to see if it would be any improvement on my original MFN60.
It's a touch louder. Need to listen to it a bit more.
