You need something to preamp your mic...I use my Roland Microcube 5w amp.You need to fashion a pop shield from a pair of tights and a coat hanger.

Then yer good to go!

sure cormy if ya want to call over I'll show ya the ropes....

I would pretty much say that this thread http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=29283 contains virtually all the information a home recordist could require for making decent productions...anyhoo..if you take you tracking anyway seriously I suggest reading this....I've learned and am learning loads from it.

Do it!Make yer productions clear and loud!

sharing is caring yo

That thread has opened up the whole sonic landscape for me.Need to start using more instruments now that I know how to fit them in properly

Is anyone else using REAPER on here?

Yeah, I just started yesterday! Have encountered a problem though: I put a drum track in that I made in Reason and then try to record some guitars BUT the guitar tracks appear slightly after the drum track... I can align the tracks afterwards but it's a bit annoying.... ?

it sounds like your buffer settings in reaper are a bit off too. i cant remember the method but google about for setting buffers to low latency.

Donjo you need to get http://www.asio4all.com/ ..i'm guessing your not using an ASIO driver currently..bang this in to your machine and you'll get yer latency down to fuck all

I just can't get the digi002 to show up in Reaper.
Using OSX10.5.8 and have tried all the different Core Audio yokes from the Avid site.
Pain in the hole.
