ive now seen joan of arse 3 times
clifden- didn't think much but slightly intoxicated
whelans at "for your machine" launch- good but not as good as rest
and last night at grandaddy- fucking rocked to the high heavens, maybe even better than Grandaddy who also rocked and seemed surprisingly overawed by the great reception they got!
thats my tuppence worth on affairs anyhoo.

I thought grandaddy were really boring
There was a piano solo that actually sounded like a bruce hornsby and the range song,
JOA were in a differant league compared to the lame indie rock grandaddy were offering

Joan of Arse's.

You should have told someone...anyone...about when you were playing down here. Batty had mentioned it to me but he couldn't remember when yis were due.

And then I missed yee, as did many others who would have liked to have seen you play...

Bleedin' messers.

Yeah, i remember that bit, and I thought so too, it was a bit scary. But were you actually expecting Grandaddy to be cutting edge? I mean I really like that last album, but it is very 70s/80s AOR. The biggest influence I can spot is ELO (eeeek!). But I was amazed how much the Arse rocked like bastards. Haven't seen them in a while and I was mucho impressed.

No I wasn`t expecting Grandaddy to be good
I`d only ever heard that song with the annoying plinky plonky keyboard intro
Luckily I had a guest place and was there to see JOA
That last song JOA played was just amazing

stop fighting over grandaddy. they're not even irish. let's just leave it at the geezer stable being a hothouse for new irish independent talent.

I`m just going to see how far I can make the page sidescroll
Here goes jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj~jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj
