Dreading the prospect of an election and the absolute ghouls who'll try to run.

We'll never see the likes of Michael D. again.

Very quiet about current Palestinian genocide for a man that doesn't shut the fuck up banging on about war, poverty and human rights abuses.

sanctimonious cunt.
I used to think Bono just had no self awareness but he is way more cynical than that. The 'activist' organisations Bono is involved in are loaded with American establishment figures in their hierarchies. They might as well be particularly awful think tanks. Bono does understand this. He loves being part of the hegemony.

Once I bothered to vote, voting for Michael D. for twice was a no brainer. The other candidates were awful.
A very daycent man. We are used to 34 years of people who are actually very good his job.

If Ahern even thinks of running I'll be ready for the prick. I always hated him.
Joe Higgins at question time was always compelling viewing. He asked superbly researched questions and then took them up a few levels as he spoke, twisting the knife in Ahern at a time FG were impotent.
This was where everyone saw what Bertie really was. A pathetic conman.
I don't forget that the media loved Ahern - you can't rewrite than either.
No rehab for Bertie - fuck off back into the dustbin.

But if Ahern runs, then all the dirty laundry will come. It'll be embarrassing for the country, but it'll be like that bitter campaign when Chuck Norris ran.

Edit: David I meant.
Chuck David.

I think i said this on here somewhere before once, but I do really actually believe that the post-live-aid career of u2 in general and bono in particular is at least in part a psyop by british intelligence to engineer a situation where the most famous irish person on the planet was also one of the most vocally anti-IRA. I am not a shinner, this is not a claim in which I have an emotional investment. just seems like nothing else in the world can explain the facts before our eyes.

Jez, I forgot Joe Higgins. Just googled him, 75. Hasn't tweeted in 5 years. Presidency unlikely.

Will be interesting if Micheal or Mary Lou go for it.

one can remain neutral on matters of aesthetics and still consider the question as a cultural anomaly requiring a material explanation

anyway i wish we could have a michael d third term, but we’ll probably get some prick

Very plausible. Does the Indo still do an anti SF article every day?

Ah no, wasn't suggesting Joe as Prez.
Just acknowledging his regular stellar work dismantling Bertie Ahern's runaway government.
Joe Higgins showed what politicians should do. Before him I had very little time for goings on in the Dail.
