ok, a meta-narrative is something like history or art or science, things we take for granted and which our society is built around, the rejection of such sounds like a pretty cool idea but it doesn't leave you with much to work with...postmodernism is more a conception than an actual thing though, its very etymology is paradoxical

Actually Post-modernism has everything to do with irony. The fact that it only exists because it doesn't exist is one of the most ironically famous aspects of it!

I've found that, if I start thinking about any particular subject a bit too deeply, I can just have a wank and then carry on with my day, business as usual. Nothing too strenuous cluttering up the old brain box... -people posting on this thread should do likewise.

Ha! Don't think so, I tried that once, I ended up in college! I've been sitting on my arse for 7, yes 7 years, wanking and playing computer games- this is due to deliberately not thinking. I try to lead by example.
