About us: Porco Dio is a fortnightly gig in the Lower Deck pub in Portobello, Dublin, featuring a mix of local, national and international bands/individuals from the underground music scene. We not only aim to transcend the usual genre boundries between punk and hardcore/hip-hop and electro/rock and indie, but also believe that there is more to gigs than just music and as such hope to incorporate visuals, art, political stalls/benefits and any number of other concepts into the usual well-worn formula of an underground music gig. We are also looking for some new some friends at our temporary internet halting site http://www.myspace.com/porcodiodublin.
Los Langeros have moved swiftly on from the pinnacle of post-wank/shitty rockdom to a throne at the epicentre of the burgeoning and blossoming countrified trash / pyschotic reggae music scene.
Over the last year they have taken our finely honed melange of guitars, mandolin, rubbish bins and maniacal shout-along snippets of life in the langero lane to all sorts of ridiculous and far-flung places. From the seedy underbelly of Cork's Mc Curtain Street to the tree-lined boulevards of Drumshambo. From the rugged and almost inaccessible Rathlin Island Jigs and Rigs festival to the frenzied fervour of Wexfords Fallout Festival, they've been winning hearts and pints all over the gaff.
