Some months ago, i was told that Pinback had planned to play Ireland some time in April/March.

Since then I have learned they had to cancel a large part their tour.

Anyone actually hear any credible information on this???

aye, they've taken a 6 month break from gigging. they've cancelled a japanese and european tour.
shame as we had a few irish dates booked for early march. oh well

looks like i'm finally going to get to see pinback live. they're playing here on 24th april. and i got my ticket today in a cool place called scratch records - theres a eastern health board style notice in the hallway - i think its real - saying "caution this area is afflicted with bed bugs". words cannot express how excited i am already at the prospect of seeing pinback. words cannot express how disappointed i will be when they cancel either. heres hoping. cant wait. animal collective and ladytron are playing in a week or so aswell. all good.

That's deadly, thanks for that - I was at that gig and it was brill. They were the best I'd ever seen them live that night, until that fucking twat jumped on stage. He ruined the full on buzz for everyone. What a cocklover he was.
