People Who Died (5 Viewers)

Worth a repost. Shane is the only one of the three that doesn’t come across as a total prick

Nice tribute..

Tom Smothers died the other day aged 86.
As part of the musical comedy duo The Smothers Brothers with his brother Dick, they were given their own TV show The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour from 1967-69 . By all accounts it was initially quite staid but they very quickly got with the times and the music guest slots have been shown repeatedly ever since.

Jaba Alves the original bassist with RATOS DE PARAO (1981-93) died on December 26th aged 60.

Also just heard that Roger Armstrong died on 30th December aged 61.
Roger was the drummer in Tokyo punk groups including hardcore band SIC in the mid/late 80's which had American and Japanese members.
Roger wrote Japanese scene reports for years for Maximum Rock n Roll until he left Japan circa 1989. These were a great source of info and he helped make many connections e.g. his close friends ROSE ROSE toured Europe in 1988 - possibly the first Japanese HC band to do so.
