A very long time ago in another life, I remember being at the very last NFL game in the old Veteran's Stadium in Philadelphia (this is the one that had a jail in it)
Cops were patrolling in numbers all through the crowd for the whole game - but the fear the cops had was palpable.

When it became clear that Philly were gonna lose, the announcer came on and asked "that no one remove seats or other permanent fixtures from the stadium as souvenirs"
Cue fucking 40,000 people trying to rip everything they could off the floors and walls. Fucking absolute destructive chaos. Cops disappeared.
A very joyous memory.

In April 1981 after the final match before their stadium was renovated FC Utrecht supporters ran riot demolishing their own stadium.
