Pedal Builds Thread (1 Viewer)

my thinking exactly. set a trimmer on the board, with an on/off/on switch to switching in (on) Ge, (on) LED, or (off) just the straightforward boost.

working on a j201 based booster circuit at the moment that I plan to trial for its OD capabilities - the SHO looks like an easy build tho..

Have you looked at the Electra Fuzz and COT?

actually wanted to ask ya - could you recommend a basic clean boost that neutral enough to take a basic eq circuit? (even just a .05u/1m high cut filter). I want to make an a/b pedal with a boost on one side to use with instruments of varying outputs (a product idea there perhaps ;-)). trying to slim down the pedal board and replace an eq and an a/b with a boost/eq/ab...

finally finished this build last night - working well apart from a bit of a hum (think I bent me tranny when it was at the board stage) - so once thats debugged Im ready to go.. will post pics soon..

3 in 1 fuzz for a guy who couldn't decide which fuzz he wanted so asked for all three in a box. From left to right it's a tweaked One Knob Fuzz with input cap switch, Dobsky Fuzz (my tweaked Russian Muff) and a straight up Ibanez Standard Fuzz clone. Got most of the main fuzz categories there. He's using it on bass..

and a trio of Dobsky Fuzzs:

They're independent so you could have them all at once no bother. The order of them is fixed though.

like the assymetric clipping led switches! nice finish on the paint work too..

It's all symmetrical clipping, Dobsky is LED/Si/none and the Standard Fuzz is Si/Ge. I swear by asymmetrical in Tube Screamer type pedals but not really in anything else.

ah - didnt see that you'd doubled them up on first glance..

No worries it's hard to make out how many of them 4148s there is from the photos. Here's another build for myself/prototype I've been playing around with. BC108 Fuzz face with contour control, the contour gives a bunch of different sweet spots with varying amounts of mids and volume boost. More MTN 94 paint as recommended by Mel Gibson and scrounged off my graffiti mates. :)

moose, or any other pedal builders: ye know that little adhesive rubber feet that you can get to go on the bottom of pedals? Is there anywhere in town that sells them or do they have to be gotten online?

I normally get them online but they can probably be got in a haberdashery or art shop, want me to pick some up for you? I need to call over and get a package of tapes from your house too actually.

you can get big rolls of velcro in those shops as well (in a slightly related topic)

Here's my Antler Fuzz, yet another take on the One Knob Fuzz, with jfet clean blend and three way input cap switch, Clean blend at 80% dirt and 10n input cap selected is a killer wild lead tone after another fuzz like a muff.

Looks great Moose! Love the idea of the clean blend in there too. Have you any sound samples yet? Particularly of chords and stuff. Thinking it could be cool for some shoegaze type tones.

As usual it's a coming soon thing with samples but yeah will work well for that.

Eric I don't have statement but know roughly what the impact is..
