Simon Cowell is a record company executive and tv show producer on top of the bit of presenting he does.

I'm no fan of Kenny but obviously he attracts enough viewers for advertisers to justify the amounts they pay to advertise in slots associated with his programs.
If his name is responsible for drawing that revenue then he deserves his reward for it.
If viewers turned away and ratings on his shows were low, he would not receive the same kind of money.
It's up to the people of ireland to vote by their choices.
Obviously,a lot of viewers in Ireland tune in , maybe that's you , maybe not, but I'm sure that if he wasn't drawing viewers in then he wouldn't be paid like that.

For the record , I don't like him and (were I in Ireland) would choose not to watch him, but enough people do , I assume .
