I think it's a pretty good line up so far. I'm never too concerned about the small bands cos they're always people you get plenty of opportunities to see elsewhere, but there's a couple of goodies in there anyway. As for the main stages-- Massive Attack, N.E.R.D., Wu Tang, Orbital, Jimmy Cliff... that's some good shit right there. Well I think so!

I am more intersted in How 'Rulers of the planet' are going to trash the poor Oxegen stage. It's worth the price of admission just to see Barry do that thing he does! I haven't seen a front man as utterly bizarre since David Yow of the Jesus Lizard.

Even when he was with semi (who weren't great) barry stood out a mile. I'll always remember half way through the first song when they supported low he just collapsed in a bizarre fashion on the stage, very strange young man indeed.

Had two Godzilla type things in a Fogatron stylee. Said something about "unsane bass and drums duo doing unsane jams. see them before they burn down churches and other crazy shit.". Funny.
I beat them fuckers at PES3 as Finland. Albert, Con, Dudley. Slaughtered Twomey.
Other than that Albert is grand. Mad skint. Gave away his bed and slept on the sofa etc.

neiler destroyed me at pro evolution the other week...it was pretty humiliating. i was just trying to get as many people sent off as possible so i'd forefeit the game and we'd have to have a re-match. no such luck.

I hate to be constantly at Halite, I'm sure they're nice blokes and all that, but I've heard a few too many horror stories from promoters unfortunate enough to do a gig with them over the past few months. Not going to kiss and tell too much but let's just say "I'm a rock star, fuck you" is a common attitude - Looking for outrageous guarantees, taking 90% of the door, "This is an MCD gig you know" being trumpeted even though the gig was organised without any imput from the Dun Laoighaire moguls and, on the gig I playing bass for one of the support acts, giving the support choicer. We had to wrangle €15 from the barmanager for some petrol. Even he was pissed off with their attitude. Aside from the shite album, is it any wonder they were dropped?

oh, it's never going to blaze a trail for innovation or anything but it's usually fun for a few reasons - relatively near by, only on for 2 days, and you can go home and sleep in your own bed and come back the next day. And generally there's usually at least 2 or 3 things worth seeing.
