Very excited to be putting on the amazing Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp again after their spectacular show here four years ago.
They will be joined by the amazing Laura Sheeran who is working on a new set and album at the moment and the first showing of 'And so say all of us' an Irish-made concert movie of legendary Dutch band
The Ex's anniversary festival.

Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp
Just like the artist in whose honor the band is named, Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp likes to mess with the conventions of pop just as much as the Dadaist Duchamp liked to mess with the conventions of art. This Geneva-based, six-piece band (consisting of former members of Dog Faced Hermans, Spaceheads, Headache, CreveCoeur) crafts pop tunes, but not without tearing them apart through vocalist Liz's shriekings, erratic drum bangings, uncommon instruments, noise erruptions, … They fuse the wild and free attitude of post punk with tropical and afrobeat vibes. Blasting trombones, skillfully played marimba, screaming vocals, roaring guitars. Their new album ROTOROTOR (a nod to Duchamp's famous rotoreliefs and to the latter's taste for palindromes) is a manifesto for free and adventurous music, organised in versatile pop songs; playful and fervent, incandescent, funny and impetuous, assuming without ostentation a sort of fragmented futurist traditionalism, combining festivity and war, wedding dances and battle-cries.

Laura Sheeran
Laura Sheeran, hails from Co. Galway but currently resides in Dublin where she has been writing, recording and gigging since 2007. Sheeran sings and performs on a loop station, bowed saw, melodica, accordion, flute, ukulele, and used a TC Helicon Voice Live 2 to manipulate her vocals and create harmonies. She frequently incorporates improvisation into her performances. Blending classical influences with heavy electronic production and filtering it all through a dark witching gauze Laura's music is both melancholic, rich and powerful and has led her to be described as "an episode of Twin Peaks in female form".
A 'creative dynamo', Laura has an extensive back catalogue of work to date including a number of soundtracks that she has done for various theater shows and short films, her solo (and collaborative) CD/Vinyl/digital releases, not to mention a series of videos she herself has filmed, edited and released in tandem with her music.

"And so say all of us" is a concert movie of the Ex and friends at their 33 year anniversary festival in London which was created by the amazing Practice tapes crew. The lads went over to London for a weekend to document one of the best and most inspiring bands on the planet celebrate thirty-three years of existence with three days of concerts, collaborations and improvisations.
