The thing about the gig for me was that I am a bit meh about OM's records. I like them but I'm far frOm nuts about them. I really thought seeing them live would be one of those giant "now I get it!" moments but it wasn't. Made me want to go home and listen to Alice Coltrane though.

His stuff as Lichens is mainly vocal loops, no words just kind of abtract singing layered over itself. It's really good. Saw him do it live and it was incredible, would have been brilliant if he could have done a short set instead of the shitey first band.

He does stuff under his own name which, out of what I've got, is more synth based. Also good but not as good as the stuff as Lichens.
 
I enjoyed both bands but thought the sound was pretty bad for them both. I guess having heard the Dead Skeletons album a few times helped there and they are certainly better on record. OM had nowhere near enough bass for their sound to work still enjoyed them a lot.
