Who's playing...

Blawan - UK
Arguably the biggest breakthrough act of the year... Blawan caused a serious stir in 2011 with excellent releases on acclaimed labels such as R&S and Clone's Basement Series. Outside of the studio his DJ schedule is hectic with well received DJ sets in many of the worlds best clubs including a recent set at The Twisted Pepper. His cheeky Brandy sampling 'Getting Me Down' was one of the most played tracks in the Pepper all year...

DJ Slipmatt & MC Jay J [SL2] - UK
Returning to Dublin after their building shaking performance last summer are SL2's - DJ Slipmatt & MC Jay J, who will once again take to the Twisted Pepper Stage to play an '88 - '92 Old Skool DJ set. For those that don't know, SL2 were/are one of the biggest acts to come out of the UK's Hardcore/Rave scene in the early 1990's, scoring a handful of Top 40 hits along the way. DJ Slipmatt is often referred to as the Godfather of UK Hardcore. Blow your whistle, it's ravetime!

Mosca - UK
What a year its been for the London based Mosca. His tracks and DJ sets are primarily built to power dancefloors but are also deceptively sophisticated. Drawing influences from dancehall, bassline, UK Garage as well as dabbling in techno, Mosca can add Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs and Benji B to his long list of supporters. His track Bax On Numbers was voted No.2 in the Factmag Top 100 of 2011. As far as we know, this will be his first time playing in Ireland.

Kormac - IE
Fresh from a sellout live show at the Twisted Pepper in late autumn, Scribble Records supa-star DJ Kormac brings his fun filled AV/DJ show back to the venue on January 1st. It's been quite a year for Kormac, from DJing internationally every weekend to festival appearances at Glastonbury, the Big Chill, Electric Picnic and many more across Europe, he also toured Austrialia for the first time. Expect to hear new material off his Sophomore album due out next year, as he rocks the Pepper on NYD.

Sunil Sharpe - IE
Ireland's techno kingpin needs little introduction. Sunil has been earwiggling techno dancefloors and radio waves [Ref: His 2FM last night sessions and his recent mix on Dave Clarkes Whitenoise radio show] since the early 2000's. Known for his quick fire cut & mix style, he'll play 2 sets at the Pepper in varying styles on the day . Currently enjoying successful vinyl releases on Komisch and Black Sun Records, listen out for one or two of his own productions in the mix. 2012 may just be his year. He's earned it...

Billy Scurry - IE
A household name in Irish Dance music, the Scurry fella never disappoints with his dancefloor focused DJ sets. He plays a rare House & Techno classics set on NYD which will feature 4/4 nostalgic selections from his residencies at Temple Of Sound, Homelands, Redbox etc. side by side in the mix with some of his personal favourites. Billy's regarded by many as the DJs, DJ.

Barry Redsetta - IE
Last on the list, but could [should?] be so easily at the top of it, Barry Redsetta is POGO's stalwart, manning the decks since it's inception, but just as heavily involved behind the scenes too. Barry has shared the turntables with a countless number of affiliates from the house & techno world... Quite simply, we rate him as the best DJ we know, full stop.

...and more to be announced over 3 rooms. More at: www.bodytonicmusic.com / www.subjectevents.com / www.thetwistedpepper.com

Lineup Additions //

David Kitt - IE
Kittser makes a speedy return to the TP after his headline DJ slot at the venue on St Stephens Day. He'll be digging deep into his record collection to showcase some of his favourite tracks that have influenced his music, most notably his latest project - New Jackson. Listen out for some little known rarities.

Gerry Molumby - Another Planet
Former Beatfinder vinyl pusher, Gerry Molumby steps up to the 1's and 2's armed to the neck with an assortment of 7" goodness. Gerry will spin only the finest selection of soul, funk & disco classics. His 'carefully executed' microphone work cements the fact that there's no show like a Molumby show... As he puts it himself "If it 'aint got swing, then it don't mean a thing."

Aoife Nic Canna - IE
Aoife needs no introduction... With a DJ CV stretching back to the early 90's and having held residencies in most of Irelands key clubs during that time, she'll bring the party to the party on NYD. Playing a set that will take in everything from 60's, 70's, 80's anthems and discotastic delights, the cafe will be a perfect setting for Irelands first lady of house... Set Times //
