Smitchwicks have a new Smithwicks

Smithwick's Pale Ale is a very pale -- blonde, really -- beer being launched on keg and in half-litre bottles around the country this month. It's 4.5% ABV and has been hopped all the way through with Amarillo. All the way through. While light of texture to the point of wateriness and a little on the gassy side, at least from the keg, there's no mistaking the flavour of proper hops: a sweet and juicy peachiness is given an empty stage to sing its heart out.

I finally had a pint of this tonight. It tastes like a proper nice beer watered down with water. At first I was all like "what the hell, this has no taste at all, regular smithwicks is better" but by the end of the first pint it was kinda alright.
