Foggy Notions is proud to present a unique and unforgettable evening with four fabulous musical personalities; Mislaid is a collaboration between two renowned singer-songwriters and two innovative Irish traditional musicians.

The four artists will take up residence at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Co. Monaghan, from 20-27th October, during which time they will work on their collaborative show, which is touring from 27 Oct – 1st Nov at select venues around the country.

Grammy-nominated Glaswegian singer Norman Blake is best known as part of the legendary Scottish guitar band Teenage Fanclub. Welsh songwriter Euros Childs found fame as front-man for the amazing psychedelic group Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci.

Both Blake and Childs have been working on a new duo album Jonny due out in 2010.

Blake, Childs and Kennedy performed together as part of the 2009 Celtic Connections International Festival. Dublin fiddler Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh was invited onboard by the Co. Louth flautist and singer Nuala Kennedy (ex Harem Scarem).

Kennedy’s commission Astar:Journey for Celtic Connections International Festival was heralded as “breathtaking” and a “triumph” by the national press. It featured an international line-up of musicians from Scotland, Canada and the States, including Will Oldham.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see two of the top names in singer-songwriting come together with two stunning left-field traditional musicians

Caoimhin can be sublime.

He played at Kilkenny Arts Fest and those who witnessed were awestruck.

yeah he's amazing. people might know Nuala Kennedy from the Bonnie Prince Billy shows with Harem Scarem in Wehlan's some years ago. She was the singer/flautist in the groop

Caoimhin can be sublime.

He played at Kilkenny Arts Fest and those who witnessed were awestruck.

i think it's going to be two 45 minute sets 8.30 to 9.15 and 9.30 - 10.15

or maybe they'll play straight through, not sure

any idea what time they will start/finish at? would love to fit this in depending if I can make a later gig.

Twas excellent. three TF songs, lots of songs from the euros childs/blake album which were really good and then some other nice bits n pieces from the two other guy/gal.

prob only about 100 there which meant a nice seated lay out.
That sounds really good. Blast!
New TF album on the way next January! Yay!

new TFC songs sound cool. He played one at the Daniel Johnston gigs in Whelan's too
