No I haven't read it. In the documentary he came across as just a bit too ... something I can't put my finger on. The whole "this should be shared with Oasis" thing from the Brits was fucking pathetic, then again, in retrospect so was their rivalry [whilst also being hilarious.] Plus he's such a shit singer it annoys me. That said he did writelike I said above, loads of great songs. Even Country House is a good song when it doesn't have that video.

Country House is like Shiny Happy People, if it hadn't been a single it would be everyone's favourite song.
I've never thought of Damon as a shit singer though.

I think of Tim Wheeler as a shit singer. I fucking hate Tim Wheeler.

As a singer Allbran is kind of like Bernard Sumner, they both have nice sounding voices singing at a conversation type of level. But when they try to project it sounds terrible.

He has that kind of voice where you can hear the gears shift when he tries something more difficult. I call it the "Billy Corgan gear shift" That said the vocals on the think tank are all grand, He may have found his niche/range. lower registers being his strong point methinks.
