Pretty straight-up 3-piece indie rock record. I like it more every time I listen to it though. Must pick up their other ones.

Super record. Loads of great pop tunes on it. The guy's voice, I listen to them and think that this must be what it'd be like if Green Day weren't shit.

There's an unmentionable event involving them happening next month too.

i'd recommend the first one, maybe the third one. first one is a triumph of kitchen recording.

Just listened to the new Grizzly Bear followed by that EP from Villagers.

While listening to Villagers I forgot I wasn't listening to Grizzly Bear. I mean that in a good way.

GB will be a grower but first impressions are good. Villagers, likewise. But well impressed thus far.

Oh, the new A Hawk and a Hacksaw is pretty excellent too. Someone needs to bring them back here. Or else I'll have to go to England to see them.

Have only heard two tracks off their new album 'Eating Us' but both are great.

I only listened to this once but it sounded like a stonier, eviler version of early U2... which was a good thing.

I keep thinking Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (yeah, I know they rip off loads of other bands!) mixed with Jesus and Mary Chain, which isn't really a good thing.
Is their other stuff any different?

The split with Octopus Project is amazing. I prefer their earlier stuff to the new stuff, but it's still decent.

Bodies of Water - a Certain Feeling. I was introduced to this by Binky and it's rather good. Sounds a bit like The Arcade Fire if they listened to The Monsoon Bassoon and Ennio Morricone a lot. Which maybe they do. Anyway, the results are more interesting.
