They're adding social media stuff. Not into it. One thing I liked about bandcamp was that it was simple and stand alone.

this is true, but is it an optional thing? Do you have a fan page automatically if you've signed up to bandcamp?

I don't think it effects how bands/label's pages look anyway?
Doesn't seem to at the moment anyway.

That article, while it's nice to see that people are worried about the future of Bandcamp, doesn't actually back up any of its fear with anything or any facts. Pure clickbait.

I only use bandcamp for buying music, never really realised there was such a community element to it or that bandcamp daily was much of a thing.

I'm gonna get back on my project to host my own website for my music.

A few things I need to figure out..like how I can ensure it stays online after I kick the buckets. I have a couple of ideas but it's still notional.
