off the top of my head. the edirol seems to compare more with the h2 in features. what would bias me to the zoom h4 in this case is that the edirol only seems to have 1/8th inputs, without the option of xlr inputs. it doesn't mention much about being an interface but i could be wrong on that point. i've never used one and am only comparing features while eating dinner. seems pricey.
