Its not true, some of wolf eyes played in Andrew W.K's band.

At one point they lived in different cities and he started sending them tapes under the name Wolf Eyes cause they were gonna be in a band together but he never officially joined or anything.

Its all one big joke.

It looks like UMG planned this, carefully, but forgot to register the .com and .org
domains in time. Then someone else snapped those up, and put the same site on
them (the one that links to the .us site while calling it a hoax).

The .us domain was registered on 2006-01-02 (at 2 minutes to midnight!), so it's
even fresher than your typical online quality replica timepiece domain.

The geocities site had mother (singular), so maybe even the geocities name they
wanted was already taken?

The .US domain doesn't link to the .com or .net, but it has a "They took our site!" rant,
consistent in its lameness with the letters from "anonymous parents".

So one site is the Ghost Pirates, and the other site is the Pirate Ghosts, and only Scooby
can solve this mystery...

Or maybe it's all part of the same hoax?

Seeing as UMG are going to profit from this, everyone who wasted more than 3 seconds
on this should pick up the phone and call their nearest Universal Music Group office (they're
in the phone book!) and politely ask to speak to someone about this anti-noise campaign,
maybe even set up a local chapter?

Finding the right person and wasting some of their time is left as an exercise for the reader.
